HMT Sancta Maria, has announced it is creating 13 new jobs just days after announcing it is to build a state-of-the-art hospital close to Swansea.
Healthcare Management Trust (HMT) who own and operate HMT Sancta Maria has confirmed it has identified a preferred site close to Swansea for the purpose-built hospital, which is set to open its doors in 2017. The plans have provided a welcome jobs boost for Swansea, with 13 new posts being created already as the hospital prepares for the next stage of its development plans.
The new positions at the existing HMT Sancta Maria site on Ffynone Road in Uplands, Swansea, include surgical ward nurses, a chef /catering manager, housekeeping supervisor and administrative assistants. The increase in staff will assist HMT in implementing its strategy to increase the range of services at the hospital whilst forging ahead with its development plans for the new site.
Bosses have confirmed even more employment opportunities will be created between now and 2017.
Hospital Director, Stuart Hammond commented:
We are in advanced planning stages for the new hospital and our existing site will continue to provide the highest level of clinical services until we relocate in early 2017. This exciting project has created a series of immediate career opportunities as we look to build our dedicated work force.
