Mair Williams
Mair Williams began her career in the healthcare sector in 1984. She started in the NHS, where she was involved in commissioning a flagship Community Hospital in South Wales. As the Hospital Administrator, she worked closely with four GP practices in the area.
In 1988, Mair joined John Randle Associates, which provided her with extensive exposure to the independent sector and religious consultancy. She later joined HMT, taking on various roles, including Hospital Director at Sancta Maria Hospital. During this time, Mair served as a surveyor for the Hospital Accreditation Programme and successfully guided Sancta Maria through the accreditation process.
After several years in Swansea, and with a growing interest in building and commissioning, she was appointed HMT’s Development Manager. In this role, she supported the development of Marie Louise House and Coloma Court Care Home, as well as collaborating with religious orders on their new care facility projects.
Currently, Mair is the Executive Director of Community and Complex Care, focusing on care homes where her primary emphasis is developing dementia care services and enhancing support for dementia through community engagement.
