HMT Expands Commitment to Excellence in Elderly Care with the Acquisition of St Quentin Care Homes

The Healthcare Management Trust (HMT),  is thrilled to announce the acquisition of St Quentin Care Homes, effective 4th September 2024. This strategic acquisition marks a significant milestone in our ongoing mission to provide market-leading care solutions to those with complex needs, and expand our footprint, to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to more communities throughout the United Kingdom. St Quentin Care Homes joins our three other care homes and two private acute hospitals based throughout the country.

St Quentin Care Homes, located in Newcastle-under-Lyme, has long been respected for its dedication to creating a supportive and nurturing environment for its residents. By bringing St Quentin into the HMT family, we are committed to ensuring that the home continues to thrive while benefiting from the additional resources and expertise that we, as a national health and care charity, can provide.

Our Chief Executive, Dr. Nichola Stefanou, shared her excitement about the acquisition:

“This acquisition represents a wonderful opportunity for us to integrate St Quentin Care Homes into the HMT fold. We are dedicated to maintaining the high standards of care that St Quentin is known for, while also fostering further innovation and providing the resources necessary to enhance the wellbeing of the people in our care. Our top priority is to ensure a smooth transition for the residents, their families, and the dedicated staff who care for them.”

At HMT, we believe that as a charity, we have a crucial role to play in the health and care sector. By expanding our presence, we aim to ensure a balanced market of providers, creating a diverse environment that benefits everyone. We recognise our social responsibility to ensure that communities have access to a range of care options, enabling them to make choices that best suit their needs.

Families of residents in our existing care homes frequently highlight the compassionate, attentive care their loved ones receive. One family member shared, “All the staff are very attentive, very kind, and put my mum’s best interests first.” Another emphasized our approach to care and independence, noting how our homes provide a “home-from-home feeling,” ensuring residents feel comfortable and always dignified. These sentiments reflect our ongoing commitment to providing a nurturing environment, a standard of care that we will uphold at St Quentin Care Homes.

The people living in our homes, and their families, can expect a seamless transition with no disruption to the exceptional care they have come to rely on. We will work closely with the management and staff at St Quentin Care Homes to ensure that all operations continue smoothly and that our residents experience continuity in their daily lives.
