An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Reception Team at St Hughs Hospital, Grimsby, part of the Healthcare Management Trust (HMT).
We are seeking a highly organised and patient-focused individual to provide a professional and welcoming concierge-style service to patients, visitors, consultants, and colleagues. You will play a key role in supporting inpatient and surgical admissions, ensuring a seamless and positive patient experience.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong administrative capability, and a commitment to delivering high standards of customer service in a healthcare environment.
- Provide a professional, courteous, and friendly reception service to all patients, visitors, and staff
- Act as a key point of contact for inpatient and surgical admissions
- Respond to patient and visitor enquiries in a timely, efficient, and compassionate manner
- Support patients with completing required documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Maintain and update electronic patient records and administrative systems
- Book and manage appointments in line with organisational procedures
- Handle telephone enquiries from patients, consultants, and staff
- Process payments and issue invoices where required
- Maintain accurate records of room usage and patient flow
- Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
- Support the smooth and efficient running of ward and outpatient services
